Barry O’Sullivan is the Head of Assessment Research & Development at the British Council where he was responsible for the design and development of the Aptis test service. In 2016 he was awarded fellowship of the Academy of Social Science in the UK, and was elected to Fellowship of the Asian Association for Language Assessment in 2017.

He was involved in the development of the Test of English for Academic Purposes (TEAP) and currently oversees a team of content specialists who create content for the TEAP and EIKEN tests. He has lived and worked in Japan since 1990 as a teacher, writer, and test developer.

Jin Yan is professor of applied linguistics at School of Foreign Languages, Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China. She has been researching and working for the College English Test since the late 1980s and has been chair of the National College English Testing Committee since 2004.
PROFESSOR / SEOUL NATIONAL UNIVERSITY
Yong-Won Lee is Professor of English Linguistics in the Department of English Language and Literature at Seoul National University. He served as TEPS Center Director for years and directed, or participated in, various research and development projects for the revised TEPS and its family of tests.

She is playing a key role in the research and development of the Vietnamese Standardized Test of English Proficiency (VSTEP). She also participates in many national and international projects on education and assessment. She is currently the 2nd Vice President of the Asian Association for Language Assessment (AALA).
DEPARTMENT HEAD / LTTC
She has been closely involved in the research and development, test production and validation of the General English Proficiency Test (GEPT), Taiwan’s first country-wide English language proficiency test. Her research interests include reading assessment, language test development and validation, and methodological approaches to linking examinations to the CEFR.
